As a reasonably new resident to The Scenic Rim region of Queensland (honestly, why didn’t I move here earlier, its SO BEAUTIFUL!!), I’ve completely fallen in love with this area of the Great South East! This region is known for its picturesque landscapes, unique flora and fauna, and abundance of outdoor activities. Wait until you see this place come alive in Wildflower season (from late Sept – November), it’s beauty is unmatched!

There is absolutely no shortage of stunning locations to tie the knot in the Scenic Rim, but here are a few of my favourites:

5. Girraween National Park:

At the heart of the Scenic Rim, Girraween National Park boasts massive granite outcrops, balancing boulders, clear running streams and spectacular wildflowers in spring. In the Spring, the landscape comes to life in all the colours of the rainbow with Golden wattles, yellow, red and purple pea flowers, dainty orchids and flannel flowers grow amid forests of red-gum, stringybark and blackbutt. It’s the perfect spot for Adventurous Couples looking for a picturesque backdrop to share their nuptials.

6. Nightfall Camp, Lamington National Park:

3. Kayak on Lake Moogerah: Lake Moogerah is a beautiful lake surrounded by the stunning Scenic Rim landscape. Rent a kayak and explore the lake with your partner, taking in the beauty of the surrounding mountains and forests.
