My Top 5 Baths with a view!

honour your connection...

Q: What’s better than a luxurious bath to de-stress, revitalise the senses and soothe the soul?

A: A luxurious bath with an epic view, of course!

I’m a sucker for a good ‘ole soak, and the tub is first thing I consider when booking accomodation online. It has to have a good “vibe” about it, you know? A space you can really see yourself relaxing with a deep soak and a glass of red in hand! Here are a few of my top picks for a wind down.

Thalia Haven, Little Swanport (Swansea, TAS)

Here’s a fun fact: I chose this location at Thalia Haven to get married because of this magnificent bath tub! And why wouldn’t you? Have a look at that view!

The bath tub sits on a beautiful deck just outside of the main pavilion of Thalia Haven, and is the main selling point of this eco friendly AriBnb. Soak away the worries of the day while looking out over the Great Oyster Bay (genuinely did not intend for that to rhyme, but what can I say? I’m a natural poet!) while listening to the soothing sounds of waves crashing on the rocks below. Don’t forget your glass of local Tassie Pinot Noir, and if it gets too chilly for you, jump in the sauna located just a few steps away!

The Barn at Hill House, Eerwah Vale (Noosa Hinterland, QLD)

Tucked away in the Noosa Hinterland, this rustic style bath will have you relaxed in no time!

This 110 year old restored dairy is one of those “I need to get away from everything and everyone and just drink lots of wine and do some writing” kind of getaways. The Barn at Hill House rustic charm and rural setting will have you relaxed as soon as you walk in the door. Sarah (the owner) has stunning attention to detail and puts so much effort in to making sure the barn is perfectly set up for you every time (and she always leaves delicious locally sourced snacks in the fridge – YUM!).

The bath house is VERY rustic with an open shower and a long drop toilet, but don’t let that put you off. It’s all part of the charm! Especially that rustic bath tub overlooking the rolling hills that surround the property.

Bodhi Bungalow, Coopers Shoot (Byron Bay, NSW)

A romantic night time soak, at Bodhi Bungalow in Coopers Shoot

I shared this getaway with one of my girlfriends. Another one of those “lets run away and enjoy an epic cheese platter and some botanical g&ts” type of weekends. The Bodhi Bungalow is set back from the hustle and bustle of Byron Bay and the entire property is truly spectacular.

The sunken bath is built in to the stunning back deck that looks out amongst the 17 acres of rainforest that surrounds the property. Sink in, and watch the resident wallabies forage for food nearby!

Qualia Resort, Hamilton Island (Whitsundays, QLD)

Winward Pavillion at Qualia Resort, Hamilton Island

What even is an “epic bath list” without Qualia Resort!? Here’s a hot tip, upgrade to one of the Winward Pavillions to score your own plunge pool, and private bath tub overlooking the picturesque Whitsunday Islands. If the view isn’t enough to win you over, then how about some luxurious Aesop products to help you slip a little deeper in to relaxation?! Pair that with a glass of Charles Heidsieck champagne (complimentary on arrival!) and you’re all set for the perfect bathing experience!

Onsen Hot Pools, Arthurs Point (Queenstown, NZ)

Onsen Hot Pools, Queenstown on a rainy day

Okay, so not Australia (although how many of us Aussies wish we could just merge with NZ and share Jacinda Adern AMIRIGHT?!) and some may argue technically not a bath – but I’m adding it to the list anyways!

Onsen Hot Pools are a MUST-DO for anyone visiting Queenstown. You can share your tub with friends, or hog it all to yourself! Personally, I prefer my relaxing baths without sharing friendly chat and banter, but hey that’s just me! Upgrade to the Tandeki package, and perfectly compliment your bath sesh with an alcoholic bevy and some snacks while looking out over that spectacular view of the Shotover River!

And that’s all I’ve got for you at the moment, my friends. No doubt this list will be updated over time, as I have at least another 5 locations on my radar! Stay tuned!

Do you have any “spectacular bath” locations that I need to add to my list? Drop it in the comments below. My husband loves when he sees another random AirBnb transaction come out of our account because his wife needs to experience “bath perks”….
